Alex POV

A half burned cigarette hung between my lips, rage simmering beneath my skin as I watched the footage for the umpteenth time.

With my eyes narrowed,I took a slow drag, filling my lungs with smoke before exhaling, the smoke clouding the screen.

A heavy knock echoed through the study. “Come in” I said without tearing my eyes away from the screen.

The door opened and Elder William walked in, his expression neutral.

“You called for me, my king”

Without offering him a seat, I rotated the laptop and played the footage.

I watched him like a hawk, hoping to catch a hint of something. Anything.

However, his face remained blank..

Damn! He was good.

When the footage ended, he stared at me. “I don’t understand why you are showing me this”
