Alex POV

I stood by the far corner of the hospital room, my arms crossed as Aunt Freya examined my mother.

The pack hospital said she collapsed due to stress but my father had Aunt Freya brought in to be certain. He stood beside her, worry lines etched on his face.

After what felt like an eternity, Aunt Freya opened her eyes. “She will be fine. She only overused her strength a bit”

“What for?”

“I’m a witch, not a seer, Alpha Lukas. I don’t know” she said with a small smile. “With rest and proper care, she will be up in no time”

“Thank you, Freya,” she nodded and left the room.

My mother’s eyes fluttered open and she sat up.

“It appears that you’re fine. I’ll take my leave now”
