Elsie POV

A soft chuckle drifted into my ears and it belonged to my mum. I was tucked in the back seat, the breeze whipping through my hair.

My mum threw her head back and laughed. “Alex seemed like a sweet boy. We could have him over for a play date sometime”

“Trying to play matchmaker for our three year old?” My dad teased, starting the car.

My dad’s expression changed, pressing his foot harder on the brakes.

“What’s wrong?” My mum asked, panicked.
