Mia POV

Gathered in Lukas’ study, Kate, Michael and I watched on with bated breath as the seer carefully examined his arm. The mark was gone like it was never there.

“You’ve been silent. Aren’t you going to say something?” Lukas asked, impatience dancing in his eyes.

“The scar is indeed gone”

“Yes. Everyone can see that. Does that mean the curse is lifted?”

I held my breath, waiting for his answer.

“It appears so” he replied. I released a breath of relief. I looked up to see the see the seer staring at me in suspicion. I quickly looked away.

“But how could that happen? You were so certain your suggestion was the only way” Michael spoke.

“Perhaps, the moon goddess has shown him mercy”

I snickered inwardly. If only they knew.

“Well, this was unexpected” Kate said and whispered in my ear.

“Can you believe this?”

I smiled as wide as I could. “I can’t”

“I would take my leave now” The seer bowed and left,
