Lukas POV

I took one last glance at Mia, who was fast asleep on the bed before shutting the door gently.

Earlier, she was on the verge of losing control, and we had no choice but to sedate her.

Micheal appeared behind me, a grim look on his face.

“The servant girl Mia brought back tried to run, but we caught her before she could escape. She’s currently in the cell.”

“You think she did this?” Kate asked incredulously.

“She ran away the moment it happened. I guess that is enough answer”

I headed down to my study in silence, both of them in tow. I tried to mask my rage.

“How could this happen under your watch?” I asked without turning to look at them.

“I was distracted for a bit,” he admitted, releasing a deep breath.

I spun sharply.

“Oh yeah. I bet you and Kate were too busy banging to realize something was going on.”

His expression turned fierce.

“You were under strict orders to watch her closely.”
