Kate POV

I knocked several times and was about to enter the passcode when the door finally opened.

“That took a while” I commented, sizing Mia up. For some reason, she looked a little nervous.

“Really? With what? Your condition is fragile. You should be resting”

“Well…..”

I took off my jacket and noticed another presence in the room. I spun around and saw a striking young man on the couch,his legs were crossed in effortless elegant.

“I didn’t know you had a visitor”

“I know you haven’t met but Kate, this is Nathan Grant, my boss” she brought her lips close to my ear and whispered.

“He’s the hot stranger I met at the club the other night. Nathan this is Kate, my best friend”

“Nathan Grant? His last name is Grant?” my brows were drawn together in a frown.

“Yes, do you know him?”

“I got a job”

“ It’s just that his name sounds kinda familiar but……hold up, what do you mean your boss?”
