Mia POV

I slipped into my room giving the couple some privacy and hoping to clear my mind, but the moment I stepped in, I felt a strange sensation spread through my chest, like a faint pulse of energy.

I had felt this before, when I was learning how to control my magic.

I noticed the curtain fluttered gently. Puzzled, I carefully walked towards it and after taking one step, I could have sworn I heard a voice call my name.

“Mia…”

That voice certainly sounded like Mira’s. I looked around and saw no one.

“Mira, are you there?”.

My legs wobbled and I sank to the floor. I tried to stand but my vision blurred and I soon drifted off.
