Chapter 84

Kate POV

I was about to step out of my apartment when I froze. Standing before me was Eleanor, a wild look in her eyes.

“What are you doing here? How did you find this place?” I ask, without masking the irritation in my voice..

“I want to see Mia” her usual graceful self was gone. She looked like a madwoman. Her hair was a tangled mess and mascara smudged down her cheeks.

“No,” I said firmly. “You can’t see her. Now leave”

She took a step towards me and I caught a whiff of alcohol. She reeked of it. “Goddess, Eleanor. Have you been drinking?”

That explained the disheveled look but not the sinister energy radiating off her.

“I WANT MIA!” She yelled in my face, her voice sharp.

I blocked her path. “And I said no. Leave while I’m being nice”

But she wasn’t listening, she pushed me out of the way and staggered in.

The commotion must have caught Mia’s attention. She came out of her room with Amber crying loudly in her arm
