Chapter 15. Searching for the Truth
Riyadh paused in her eating and dropped her fork, staring at Kristain with a lift of her eyebrows. He blushed at being caught staring, cleared his throat, and went back to his meal, picking through the contents of the plate.
Could his friends have been right about her? He wondered and shook his head, hoping not. He couldn’t deal with her as a mate, no matter how beautiful she was. He sneaked a peek at her, studying the elegant curve of her neck to that of her lips and how radiant her skin was. He noted the lush fullness of her hair and felt a strong desire to leave his seat, go beside her and run his hand through it, flicking off the waves of her hair strands.
He coughed, groping for a glass of water. He was being ridiculous.
“Here.” Casildo handed him a glass of water as he was next to him.
“Thanks, Mr. Nazir.” Kristain bowed in gratitude and accepted the offering.
