Chapter 18. Burning
Selena grinned as she walked into Riyadh’s room, carrying her a plate of food, which was Riyadh’s lunch. She set it on the stool beside her and sat down, waiting for Riyadh to close the book she was reading.
The other servants wouldn’t tell her much; they warned her to stay away from Riyadh. Selena scoffed, assuming they were only intimidated by Riyadh and exaggerated. To her, Riyadh was fun and had a lot of stories to tell about the world she could only watch on TV.
Riyadh smiled as she closed the book in her hand and dropped it. She extended it to her. “Here, you can have it. I’m done with it.”
Selena beamed. “Thank you.”
She was going to show the others the new book she just got from Riyadh, knowing their eyes would go round with surprise as usual. She wondered why they intended to talk badly of someone who was as nice as Riyadh. Well, she was determined to change their opinions of her.
