Third Person POV
Collins had witnessed the death of a man he regarded with contempt but it was tragic irrespective of whom had died. He had seen someone pull out a gun and shoot a man. Since the raid on the village when his younger daughter was born, he and some men in the village had taken it upon themselves to patrol the village at night in turns. He had been doing his shift when he saw what had happened. It had happened so fast that he had almost no time to react.
Unfortunately, the gunman had seen him and had shot after him but he was lucky enough to run away from the scene and the gunman did not seem enthusiastic about chasing him so he escaped alive. He had run straight to the village’s authorities to report what had happened but found himself arrested instead.
