Thallus’s POV

“There is nothing you can do, really. I’m trapped here; sometimes I beg the maid that attends me personally to allow me see my child. I cannot even allow my child to see me like this, I feel terrible…” she broke into tears after this and I was not quite sure what to do. I moved closer to her and hugged her as she sobbed. She let me hug her but I was not prepared for what was to come as I drew her into an embrace.

Clearly, she had been locked for years at the least but she must have never skipped a day of having a bath. As she cried softly into my chest the sweet scent of vanilla filled my nostrils and it was coming directly from her hair.
