Raya’s POV
“Then he must have been a very happy man,” Dana said, I could tell she was trying to picture him in her mind.
“Oh yes, he was happy. He loved to bask in the moment. When he was around he would never let anyone have a frown on their faces,” I said with a smile. Father could just never let you be sad as a result he had indulged me a lot during my childhood and had left the discipline to my mother.
“I wish I remembered him,” Dana said softly. I am happy she remembered nothing about Father. If she did she would remember him as a sad man who never uttered more than what was necessary.
“We cannot change the past,” I said simply.
“Did Father tell you how to leave the forest?” she asked.
