Raya’s POV
“Raya dear, it’s such a delight to have you but that’s a lie now, we both know that,” my uncle’s wife said good naturedly as I stepped out of the carriage.
“Aunt Dina you can’t still be mad at me for breaking your china pots!” I laughed humorously as the memory of that day lit up in my mind.
“They were custom made from Qing, of course I am mad!”
“I glued the pieces back together,” I said in my defense.
“You silly girl, come here,” she said as she pulls me into a hug.
I had received nothing but a warm welcome here. I was positive I could leave Dana here without ever worrying about her adapting. It was a good thing that she would be staying with a normal family at least here she would go to school or have a governess and live the way children ought to. It would take a while, but I believed she would soon assimilate quickly into society here.
