Chapter 73

Raya’s POV

“Is all that I have just heard true, Father?” asked Tamar’s unmistakable voice. It was my guess that there had to be another door at the far end of the study from which she must have entered into the study.

“Tamar, how do you do?” asked Lord Christopher, completely ignoring what she had just asked.

“Father, you do not answer my question,” replied Tamar, it was hard to read from her tone if she was angry or not care. I did not like Tamar at all but she deserved to know the truth about this. It would be a disaster if she found out later that she had married her own blood brother.

“Whatever you might have heard dear changes nothing,” said Lord Christopher in a firm voice implying that she was not to concern herself about such details. In my opinion, Lord Christopher was a control freak. I was not sure he understood that people could not be controlled the way you wanted even if they were your children.
