Keenan’s POV

Overwhelmed with the petition filled notes my comrades had burdened with me and the new wave of respect they ascribed to my person, I made my way to the throne room to resume my duties as Thallus’s right hand. However I met Lord Christopher before I could make it anywhere near the throne room and in fact I was cornered by him.

I had never had to deal personally with the man but I knew from the information Raya had given me that he was a man whose ways were beyond despicable. Someone whom I knew I was going to feel absolutely no remorse towards destroying his political career. Even if I murdered him, I felt like I would be vindicated for doing so. Instead of the heavens punishing me for ending such a life they would thank me instead.

“My lord?” I quipped as he does not allow me proceed further.

“I have been meaning to speak with you Michael but time has not permitted that our paths cross,” he said to me.
