Adrianna’s POV

I blinked at him. “Is there a problem?” I asked with a confused expression.

Wasn’t he supposed to be in the ritual gathering?

“Not really,” he said as he rubbed his hands together.

“What do you want?” I asked again, still watching him.

But he just glanced in the beast’s direction. “Let’s sit,” he said as he walked to the couch.

I sat across from him, leaning forward to hear what he had to say. “The gifts, I don’t know how it happened, but it’s gone,” he said with a heavy sigh.

I frowned. “What gift?” I asked.

He blinked hard. “He did not tell you?”

I shook my head. “Was I supposed to know about a gift?” I asked.

Marcus rubbed his head. “Okay, so the Alpha,” he said in a low voice.

He swallowed hard as he continued. “He told me to get back all the gifts he sent out last night,” he said.

My brow furrowed. “He did?” I asked.

Marcus nodded, and my stomach churned. Why would he do that?
