Chapter 102. A Nightmare
Adrianna’s POV
My heart beat escalated, and my hand trembled. Marcus leaned forward, “What happened?” he questioned, his eyes darting from me to Kael.
My chest rose and fell unevenly, “I think he was poisoned as well,” I muttered.
My hand rubbed his palm, “Please get me the lavender,” I murmured. I didn’t even know what to do or say.
His body was still jerking violently. Marcus paced the room, running his hand through his hair.
“This won’t do,” I said as I put more moonflower elixir to his lips, but he kept spitting and coughing out blood. That could only mean one thing: the poison had infected his bones.
There was only one option left. Without thinking, I climbed down. “Hold the bowl,” I said, passing it to Bianca. I left his head and bent to his gash.
I swallowed before pressing my lips to his wound. “Oh my, what are you doing?” Bianca and Marcus chorused loudly.
