Number 42’s POV

My wolf and I watched as Becky darted around the room.

She gave off a nervous energy and her movements were clumsy, often bumping items together and fumbling whilst trying to correct things that she had knocked over. I frowned. I didn’t understand why she was nervous.

‘Maybe she has ill intentions towards us or has something planned. That would give her something to be nervous about. You should ask her directly.’ My wolf growled, beginning her uneasy pacing in my mind.

‘You’re assuming things again. Why are you assuming that it’s something bad?’ I sighed in exasperation at her attitude.

‘You don’t know that it’s not bad.’ My wolf huffed sulkily as her pacing slowed.

‘And you don’t know that it is. Stop it. I don’t think it’s that kind of nervous. I think she’s scared of us.’ I replied contemplatively.

‘Good. Maybe it will stop her from making choices that she’ll regret towards us.’ My wolf muttered, as she finally sat
