Nate’s POV

I caught the eyes of the Head Omega Anne in the kitchen area and greeted her warmly, before requesting an array of heavy breakfast dishes to be offered today. She fixed me with the look of a mother who knows something is going on, but didn’t ask questions and set about her tasks, ordering the other omegas efficiently to their tasks.

She was a matronly figure and had been around since I was a pup. We had a good relationship and the majority of suggestions she had brought forward for improvements when I took over as Alpha, I had implemented for the benefit of those working hard to keep the pack running behind the scenes.

Omega’s weren’t given nearly enough credit for the work they did. I had worked hard to change attitudes towards them and it was now starting to run smoothly. We rarely had issues between the higher ranked members of the pack and the Omegas, and when we did, I dealt with it swiftly.
