The dark-haired woman put one foot into the car, ready to leave, but she couldn't do it because a familiar voice shouted her name. Elizabeth turned, finding Maya and Maat running towards her, panting.

She opened her eyes in surprise; the last thing she expected was to see them seconds before leaving.

"You wouldn't think of leaving without seeing us once more, would you?" Maya inquired, wrapping her arms around her. "You are now a part of Egypt, just as much as it is a part of you," she whispered in her ear. "We're going to miss you," she admitted, kissing Elizabeth's cheek.

Tears welled up in Elizabeth's eyes. She couldn't help but get emotional knowing that she had earned the affection of someone she barely knew. She felt gratified because the feeling was mutual. She hugged Maya back tightly, fearing that if she let go, Maya would disappear with the wind.
