Chapter 40. Accept Your Feelings
I was sitting in a corner of my room, my knees pulled up to my chest, staring into the dark. My mind was replaying the image of Veronica's broken face.
I hurt her so bad. I can never forgive myself for making her cry.
All of a sudden, my dark room was illuminated. “Who the fuck turned the lights on?” I grumbled. I blinked several times to get adjusted to sudden light and saw a familiar brunette approach me.
He kneeled in front of me and sighed. “I never thought I would see you like this ever again after Dad passed away,” Stephen said.
I didn't respond.
“If you are waiting for me to say that you can cry on my shoulder, then you are waiting in vain.” Stephen rolled his eyes.
I bit my lips and hugged him tightly. It was nice to have everything sorted with my brother now. “It hurts…” I murmured.
