Chapter 37. Haunting Decision
It was around two in the morning. I was trying to sleep, but my brain refused to rest due to the guilt eating me alive.
I threw off the duvet and sat up. Feeling restless, I buried my face in my hands. I regretted everything I did today.
I misbehaved with Veronica without giving her a chance to explain. Who cares about a stupid deal? Veronica would never take revenge on me by showing up late when I needed her. And she even understood why I did that. I was being blackmailed.
However, I should have believed my heart and not listened to what other people said. The people in the meeting room just mocked me, saying that my wife was probably busy practicing her scenes with her co-stars or probably going to show up late on purpose. It frustrated me so much, and I took that out on Veronica.
