Chapter 47. Tired Fingers

I placed the pamphlet in my purse in case I decided to make it happen. There was some truth to what Lyle suggested, and I could see that. He was right. Since Dylan and I moved into the house, we hadn’t had enough time to bond with each other. We hadn’t had time to talk about our issues. We were always surrounded by Anton and Dad, and always busy with Mom’s wake. To add, there was Lyle and my impending law school application at St. Nicks.
“I guess I’ll think about it,” I said as I took another slice of the croissant.
“After the wake and this week. The hearing’s this week, right? They’ll still be busy after that.”
I raised my eyebrow. Yes, I was aware of how busy they were now in the office. I was well-informed of that by Anton. Perhaps it was also the reason why my husband had blown off some steam. I knew how much of a handful Anton could be when he was stressed.
