Chapter 61. Captured Memories

Ashlene was right. The croissants they had in this place were one of a kind. They were so flaky and buttery that each bite felt like having a taste of heaven. That sounded like too much, but that’s simply how it is.
“Let’s go. We don’t want to miss the boating!” Ashlene simply said after checking the time on her phone.
It was her idea, this boating activity. However, I admit I was a bit excited about it too. Being a naturalistic man, I always see nature as a work of art and I guess that’s what my wife thought of for this activity.
We would be going home this afternoon and Ashlene told me there’s a family dinner we have to be present tonight. It’s just gonna be the four of us: me, Ashlene and the two Ridley boys. It’s kind of a monthly tradition and this time, it’s on this new steakhouse owned by Seth’s cousin. Just thinking about it now, 10 hours away, I already feel stressed.
