Chapter 64. To the Rescue

They didn’t.
Half an hour has passed and the boat didn’t come back for us. Ashlene has been crying her eyes out on my shoulder. Deep inside, I’m starting to panic too. Not because we’re trapped, but because of what the Ridleys would say.
“Ash, just for a while…” I excused as I realized my hourly duties with Seth.
Ashlene moved and wiped her tears. Her eyes were reddish when she looked up at me and asked why.
I dug my pocket for my phone and fortunately, there was a cellular signal. Damn, I haven’t thought of that before. We don’t have the number of the hotel management, but I have Seth’s and Anton’s. I have no idea on how to tell them Ashlene and I got trapped on an island but I guess I’ll have to figure it out. Ashlene’s scared. What other choice do I have?
“Who are you calling?” Ashlene noticed.
“Your dad.”
She grabbed the phone when I said that.
“Let me talk to him. It’s my fault we’re stuck here anyway.”
