“Lyle, do you mind moving to the chair beside Dad?”
Ashlene voiced out. Lyle turned his head to the side and looked me straight in the eye. Then, his gaze traveled down to what I was wearing. I know what he’s thinking. I look nothing like him.
Wow. He can still do that without flinching, huh? He can still look at me as if he didn’t kiss my wife behind my back.
“Of course,” Lyle answered and sat on the chair next to Seth. The Ridley boys were talking to each other about a client named Freud. I don’t know if that’s a pseudonym or an actual last name. If it’s the latter, then that’s interesting.
I took my seat back and sat down. Ashlene squeezed my hand. I don’t know for what purpose that is.
