Chapter 65. Black Pullover

The dry leaves and some light shells swirled as the chopper descended from mid-air. The nearby trees on the sides danced and our hairs were being messed up. Ashlene was saying something to me but because of the deafening sounds of the chopper’s blades, I couldn’t hear a thing. I only held up my palm at her as a signal to “wait.”
When the chopped touched the wet sand, Ashlene and I ran towards it. There was a man in a suit inside which we later recognized as Anton.
“Here, give me your hand Ash.” He helped Ashlene up.
I followed and sat next to Ash. The pilot asked if we’re good to go and Anton said yes. I looked behind us and saw that our baggage from the hotel has been picked up.
“You went to the hotel, sir?” I asked, and Anton gave me a narrowed glare.
“What do you think? Of course, I had to pick up your bags.”
“Thank you. I hope we didn’t bother you from anything,” Ashlene said, pulling her hair up to tie a ponytail.
