Chapter 97. Blurry Mirror

I reached the apartment feeling so exhausted after the day. However, it was worth it. I have the folder of my birth certificate and the letter in my hands.
“Honey? Are you home?”
It was 7 in the evening when I reached home, so I was sure Olivia was here somewhere. She was not in the living room when I entered, so I guess she was either in the kitchen or in the bedroom. I called her name again, and I heard footsteps rushing from the bathroom. Oh, there she was.
“Hey! How did it go?”
Olivia gave me a quick hug and a peck on the cheek. Her hair’s pulled up atop her head and wrapped by a towel. Her skin felt supple and fresh. I guess she just came fresh from the shower. I suddenly felt conscious. I haven’t washed yet and I’m sure I’m filled with sweat and dust from the travel.
“It’s a mixture of the good and the bad,” I said, not finding the right word for it.
She frowned. Then I showed her the folder, and she grabbed it gently.
