Chapter 39
The time was 6:15 in the evening, and I knew the invisible doubles of Eneh and Onakposeba would be a few meters away from their targets. Sitting motionlessly inside the backseat of my SUV, which was parked opposite the Port Harcourt Club at Old GRA, my invisible double appeared and clutched the katana’s handle.
Seconds later, he walked toward Eneh’s mansion, passed through the fence, and scanned the compound. There were four hefty guards at the gate, three large Alsatian dogs panting after a sumptuous meal, and lights glittering all around the main building.
Eneh was a sixty-eight-year-old arthritic who always tried to conceal the limp on his right leg whenever he walked. At the side of the large house, my invisible double counted four SUVs, two limousines, and three exotic saloon cars in custom-built garages.
