Chapter 41
He was about to walk towards Mrs Mary Eneh when two fat nurses emerged and gently ‘overpowered’ Doris Onakposeba before administering an injection to her. The next moment, Doris slept peacefully on a white bed in a cozy room all by herself.
“She’ll be fine when she wakes up.” Dr. Kolawole assured Theo.
“I’m deeply concerned about his two girls,” Theo began. “Onakposeba’s two girls…so young, beautiful, and now emotionally shattered.”
He looked in Mrs Eneh’s direction, whose neck and upper chest region were now wet with tears. He wondered if the doctor would administer the same ‘treatment’ he’d ordered for Onakposeba’s wife to be repeated on her. The next moment, while Dr. Kolawole made another call, she stood up, while crying profusely and asked where she could lie down. When she’d been escorted to another room to rest, Theo was led to the accountant by the doctor.
After hearing all the medical jargon he hated so much, Theo simply scribbled on a checkboo
