Chapter 24. Reckless
Madeline's POV
The wind went through my hair as I glared at the alpha. Unlike what I expected, he was much younger in personal rather than in my dreams. And even though this is still our second encounter, it feels like I am very accustomed to him. If this is a different situation, I would have told him immediately about the future of their kinds and what will happen.
But just like the sacred rules about time traveling, you should never change anything about what happened, because there will be consequences at the very end. And it might affect my departure at my current time! That is the last time I would like to happen, so I'll just go with the flow.
"What are you talking about?" he asked and snorted. "Do you think I will believe you?"
"I know it is hard to believe, but you have to. From what I know, if you kill your mate, you will also be affected," I said and slowly stood up. "That's a werewolf thing, yeah?"
