Chapter 57. Jealous
Liam’s POV
“I hear your father’s a friend of Mr. Sinclair?” the man asked with deep interest.
“Yes.”
He looked even more intrigued. “May I ask who your father is? I may know him.”
All eyes turned to me, including Blake, who looked like she was about to freeze.
“I’m not American. I doubt my father’s an acquaintance of yours,” I answered smoothly.
Andrew scoffed. “My father knows people from every side of the Earth. That is if you’re important enough.”
I didn’t bother to cast the fool a glance.
George Edmunds gave a proud smile at his son’s words. I’ve always thought rich people are stupid and arrogant. I’m yet to be proven wrong.
“Where are you from? Andrew’s not wrong. I do have a lot of foreign friends.”
“My family’s very low-key. My father especially is not a fan of politicians, so he avoids every contact with them.”
Andrew scoffed. “For goodness sake, just tell us where the bloody hell you’re from.”
