The birthday party began at eight o’clock in the evening at one of the biggest hotels in the city. The party was of grand style and only families with high status were invited.

The hotel banquet hall was brightly lit. On top of the grand and luxurious hall hung an exquisite blue crystal lamp. The slightly trembling tassels on the lamp made one feel as if they were in a daze.
