Lucas’s POV

“Alpha, we can’t keep postponing this,” Elder Cameron started. “You need to properly announce your Luna to the pack and mark her as your mate.”

This has been the constant push from the Council members and my grandfather, and I couldn’t tell them that Lena wasn’t my mate.

I married her to get them off my back but now it was getting worse. Marking Lena would mean binding her to me forever which was not part of our agreement.

“I told you I will do it when the time is right.” I leaned into my chair.

Elder Cameron grunted before standing up. “You shouldn’t delay this too much. The earlier the better.” He walked out.

A sigh escaped me and I wiped my hands down my face. How was I supposed to get out of this situation without them finding out about the deal between Lena and I?
