Chapter 30. You Are Not Allowed To Die On My Table

Lena’s POV

The next morning, I went to work feeling energetic and unusually happy. I had a lot to do because I wasn’t at work the day before and most of the responsibility fell on me because all the higher ranked doctors and Austin went to a seminar, leaving me to monitor the activities of junior doctors.

The day was going pretty normal until a junior doctor rushed into my office. “Dr. Pretakis, there was a major accident on the highway and the patients are being rushed here.”

“Inform all the doctors and nurses to get into position immediately,” I ordered as I stood up and made my way to the hospital entrance.

Five ambulances arrived in front of the hospital and all the doctors rushed to attend to them. I was about to go attend to a patient when another ambulance pulled up followed by five cars.

I could tell that whoever was in the ambulance was very important, so I motioned another doctor to take over the patient while I rushed to the last ambul
