Chapter 29. I Want You to Go
Mason’s POV
“Uncle Mason!”
I had barely gotten the school gate open before Sophie screamed at the top of her voice and ran toward me. I scooped her up into my arms, holding her close “How was school today?”
“It was awesome.” she grinned before she glanced at my car. “Mummy didn’t come today again.”
I ruffled her inky hair and grinned. “I already told you. Mummy got this huge job and it’s a lot of work, so we don’t want to disturb her right now. Once she finishes up with her work, I’m sure she will make it up to you. She always does.”
She grinned. “I can ask her to take us camping this time.”
“That is a brilliant idea,” I replied, kissing her chubby cheeks. “Let’s get you home.”
“Can we have spaghetti for dinner today?” she asked with cute puppy dog eyes.
I smiled. “I was planning to make something more healthy, but since you asked so sweetly for it, I’m going to make spaghetti.”
She jumped up in excitement as I started up
