Chapter 63. You’re So Strong
Mason’s POV
The stethoscope cooled against my chest as I lay on my back on the hospital bed.
“Breathe deep,” the doctor commanded.
I took a deep breath in, then slowly let it out. I drummed impatiently on the hospital bed while waiting to get over the check up already.
He removed the stethoscope and smiled. “Good news. You are perfectly fine, we should be able to discharge you tomorrow.”
Relief flooded me. “Thanks, Doc,” I muttered back.
He gave me some medicine prescription to get before leaving the hospital before he left, closing the door quietly behind him.
I could finally breathe like a human being. No machines. No IV. Just me.
But I was still worried about Sophie, she still hadn’t regained consciousness and every time I saw her condition, I wished it was me in her place.
