Chapter 23. Her Secret Condition
Lia's mental health condition was mainly caused by the death of her twin sister, Mila.
Lia felt that her only way to escape her horrible past was to make a new identity for herself. Even though Lia knew she was sick, her other personality wasn't.
Mila became Lia's imaginary medicine because while Mila was in charge of her body, she could forget about all that had happened to her in the past.
To summarize, Mila lives during the day, and Lia returns at night. And Sandra Kennedy, Lia’s mother, knew everything.
Lia wasn't always like this, though. Mila stopped taking over her body for a year before she met Edward in Barcelona, when they were together and fell in love with each other, and until she gave birth to Rose.
