Chapter 24. Slept Together
Lia had no idea why her mother agreed to this, why her mother hired a lawyer to find Edward and put her faith in her child's father.
Everything was falling apart now, and Edward was only making it more difficult for her to go on. They even want Mila to disappear, but she won't let that happen!
She has many disadvantages over Edward because Edward could tell Mila the truth and save more hours, whereas it would be difficult for her to stop him or devise a solution; she won't be able to save Mila if she only has a few hours.
"You also wanted it, Lia," Edward mumbled, his eyes hardening as tears rose.
Lia didn't like his response, so she spun around, trying to think of anything else to say, but it was difficult to lie to herself when Edward was right.
She also enjoyed what happened to them the night before. "I-I told you to stop me if you don't—" Lia's harsh slap on the face cut Edward off in his tracks
