Chapter 28. You Are Her…

"What is it?" Mila asked in confusion. Edward had been acting strangely today, but she still let him pull her wherever he wanted.

"Promise me that no matter what you see or discover, you will still trust me." 

Mila swallowed when she noticed something gleaming in Edward's eyes. It was as though his eyes were telling her something she couldn't understand.

"I-I…" Mila couldn't complete her sentence because her heart began to race, not because of her feelings for Edward, but because she was petrified for reasons she didn't know.
