It was almost seven days before the restrictions in the house were relaxed by Mother Eleanor. Slowly, but steadily, things began to get back to normal. Mother Eleanor had still not found who had committed the breach in communication but she seemed more relaxed and less agitated than before. Merga, on the other hand, had begun to make preparations to escape, go back to the cottage and meet up with Robert. She missed him dearly. Very often, when it was dark and she was sure that most of the witches would be asleep, she would conjure up his image and see him in the cottage, just being him. This made her very happy.
