Isabella’s POV

I felt gloomy, and for the life of me, I couldn’t bring myself to figure out the source of it all. Outside, it poured heavily, like the sky was tired and fed up with all the evil in the world and had decided to ruin us all by flooding the earth. While that sounded like a good idea, I just wished I could enjoy the rain without having this anxiety gnawing at my insides.

I got out of my bed before padding towards the window. Thanks to the little couch/sofa that was inbuilt into the wall just underneath the window, I could sit and watch everything from my own comfort.

Leo and I used to love running around in the rain, especially when Papa wasn’t around. We would make sure we were fully drenched before hurdling back into the house before he got back.
