Chapter 32. Are You Guys Fighting?

Avery’s POV

“Mommy?”

“Yes cutie pie.”

“Mom!”

I finally look up to see Lucas with an incredulous look on his face. Oops. I have momentarily forgotten the fact that the boys hated the ‘cutie pie’ pet name.

“Cutie Pie is a pet name for girls! I am Lucas Lorenzo.

I interrupted Lucas. “Alright, sweetie, I understand. Am I forgiven now, sweetie?”

A smile stretches on my lips. Little, silly arguments like this were what reminded me that my sons were still four. They were so intelligent for children of their age that I promised myself never to help them with their math homework anymore after embarrassing myself in front of them three times. Thankfully, I get to experience this part of their lives, and I am grateful for that.
