Avery’s POV

“D…Dis…cipline?”

He chuckles, the sound reverberating from his chest. “You know, train you to be a good, obedient girl for me. How about that?”

I shiver from the way his words affect me, and I struggle to find my next words, already speechless from Ethan’s effect on me.

“How about we start your training?”

“What are you guys doing?”

I jumped away from Ethan as if I were doused with cold water and shifted my gaze to the door to see my sons standing hands akimbo watching us. I feel Ethan’s arm around my waist, and I look up at him, my eyes telling him to remove his arm, but he only pulls me closer and gives me a wide smile before facing the kids.

“We are both sorry, boys. We were thinking of a way to make it up to you.

The boys give each other a mischievous smile before facing us. “How about that pastry shop?” Carlos says it excitedly, but Lucas’s nose scrunches up in irritation. “No, let’s go to the amusement park!”
