I knew where Adrian lived.

Well…not because I’d been there before or anything. But because, you know, people talk. And if you were even a little bit curious about Adrian Kane, and let’s be real, everyone was, you’d probably pick up on a few things.

Like how he’d transferred senior year from some fancy school in New York, (which I still didn’t understand by the way since he was practically from one of the wealthiest families in that state) or how he barely talked about his life before that. How he always looked like he had a secret. And, most importantly, how he lived in the Miller Mansion.

Now, not everyone knew where everyone lived. But Adrian wasn’t just anyone, and the Miller Mansion wasn’t just any house. It was the kind of place that had stories attached to it. The kind of place people whispered about, like oh, yeah, the Miller Mansion? That’s where rich people go to be mysterious and broody.
