Months Later.

“Are you sure?” Cassian asks. “I don’t want to be far away with the baby so close.”

“It’s not far,” I assure him. “The second I’m in labor, you’ll know. And labor takes a long time, right? My mother said I took about seven hours with me. You’re only an hour away, tops, if you shift and run.”

He still doesn’t look convinced.

“You can’t just sit around and wait for the baby,” I add. “She will come on her own schedule.”

“Regardless, I’m changing the venue,” he insists. “I’ll have Alpha King Blake travel here.”
