Gabriel’s POV

"Please baby, stay,"

I was at my lowest when I made that request. I know I’d acted stubborn at first, insisting I didn’t need a mate but how was I supposed to throw her away after meeting her? How am I supposed to let her go when she’s already a part of me? It would kill me if I did.

I didn’t have the intention of coming back after I found out she had dated Martin. I would’ve killed someone but all I’d managed to do ever since I broke free from my father was tame my beast, and chain my demons, and heavens knew I was about to lose it. When Azel stopped me from shifting, a chain broke and I almost killed him.

He told me to face it and go back to Paige rather than hide away in the forest, trying to fix things all by myself.

"She’s your mate, Gabriel. Go back to her. If you shift in this state, you’ll kill someone. Go home!" He commanded.
