Chapter 105. Snowfall

I remained silent, staring at the snow as a million thoughts flooded my mind. I let out slow, steady breaths, my eyes filling with worry.

“Snow? What’s that?” Festus asked.

“It’s a weather that occurs in Moon-World once every year. We usually see it at the beginning of the year, and sometimes near the middle,” Madelyn responded.

“But this isn't the beginning of the year or the middle. In fact, most of the food deliveries of the last season have been made, and according to the lunar calendar, the year is almost done. Why is there snow falling now?” Calaius asked.

I held my chin gently with my index finger and thumb, slowly pacing around. Something was very wrong. First, the priestess, who was supposed to be the beacon of truth and hope for Andreia, lied publicly and was attacked, and now snow late in the year. What exactly was the goddess trying to achieve by doing all this? Send me back to Valtoria? No; it couldn't possibly be that simple.
