We all remained silent for an uncomfortably long period as I and Moriah stared at Damian, soaking in the words that just left his mouth.

“What?” A baffled response finally left my mouth, breaking the silence as my left brow rose.

“What are you talking about? Humans cannot navigate the forest of the damned; they’d get eaten alive,” Moriah said, squinting.

“Moriah, you’re from the forest of the damned; you should know what I’m talking about. You should know the purpose of the creatures of the dark and why there has been peace between Sun-World and Moon-World for the past one hundred years,” Damian said.
